The foliage is elliptical, shiny, with dark green and a tinge of purple? Fall, Winter, & Spring the Hawthorne will flower & can even handle frost and light snow. In southern climates, it can bloom all winter long. The Water Hawthorne will flower long into fall, early winter, therefore extending the season of color in the pond, and provide blooms before the lilies in the spring. Partial sun to partial shade, needs 6 inches to 4 feet of water, spread of 24"-30".
